Mrs. Larson’s Class

Wil finally decided to say hello.  He was born at 3:58 PM on Sunday, March 23rd…and Easter baby!  He weighted 7lbs 6oz, 20 1/2 inches long, and looks just like his daddy.  I can’t wait to introduce you all to him.  I will bring him by soon.  I hope you are all doing well.  Here are some pictures until you meet him.

I’m planning for my last to be next Friday, March 7th.  I will be out Tuesday 3/4 and Thursday 3/6 for district training meetings.  Mrs. Barry will be my substitute.  I feel like this will be a great trasition week for us all.  After the 7th, Mrs. Barry will be here everyday until I return.  I will be back on Monday, May 12th.  Open house is just around the corner too.  Unless I am unable, I’m planning to be there that night to celebrate all of the hard work you’ve done this year with you and your families.  Hopefully, I will have lots of pictures of William to share with you by then.  I am sure your are going to have a successful and productive 8 weeks without me.  I will miss you all and will check in every so often.  Don’t forget…I’ll be checking snapgrades and my email to make sure you’re keeping up!  See you soon.

How can I ever express how much I appreciate the surprise baby shower you all put together for me?  The thought, preparation, and generosity that went into it was truely touching.  In addition, I can’t believe that everyone was able to keep the secret from me for as long as you did…great job!  This has been such a wonderful year and I attribute it to my wonderful class and their families.  There is nothing better to a teacher than a caring, cooperative, and hard working group of students who all get along and support one another.  I will miss you all while I’m out, but will rest easier knowing that you have a wonderful substitue, Mrs. Barry, and each other.  Jim and I are so excited to meet the newest addition to our family, William Richard Larson (assuming the doctors are correct).  I’m hoping to have a week or two left with you guys after the vacation, then I will stop in to say hello from time to time and introduce you to Wil of course.  I will be back to finish the year with you on May 12.  Thank you!

Some of you have already logged on to snapgrades to check it out.  This great new website gives you and your students 24 hour a day access to grades online.  Just log onto snapgrades.com and enter your user ID and password.  Make sure you don’t share your passwords with ANYONE.  This information should be private and kept between me, your family, and your other teachers.  I sent home your “parent” log in information and “student” log in information today.  If you have questions, email me at jlarson32@hotmail.com.
