Meet Mrs. Larson
Hello! My name is Jen Larson. For the past ten years I have been teaching at Sinaloa Middle School. I have spent most of those years in the 6th grade. In addition to teaching, I have served our leadership teacher, student activities director, ASB advisor, yearbook advisor, and 8th grade Washington DC trip coordinator. Last year I left student activities to become our schools technology coordinator, a position that I have enjoyed very much. I have had the opportunity to learn a great deal about how technology can enhance learning and communication. It has also allowed me to integrate technology into my classes day to day curriculum. Having grown up in Novato, I attended Rancho, Sinaloa, and San Marin. I left Novato briefly to earn my bachelors degree at California State University, Chico. When I returned, I attended Dominican University in San Rafael to earn my teaching credential and masters degree. I have always been very involoved in our community through our schools, park and recreation programs, aquatics, and children’s programs. I currently live here in Novato with my husband Jim, who teaches 6th grade at San Jose Middle School. In the spring, I continue to co-coach San Marin’s swim team with him. Last Easter, we welcomed our first child to the world. William Richard Larson is now five months old and still looks just like his daddy. I can’t wait to meet all of my new students and get the year off to a great start.
